The start of June means summer for many, but for the National Safety Council (NSC), June is National Safety Month. National Safety Month is an annual event put on by the NSC. The NSC's mission is to raise awareness about how work and home-related preventable injuries or 'accidents' can be prevented.

Accidents are the fourth leading cause of U.S. deaths. The NSC wanted to lower this statistic by raising awareness of the leading causes of preventable injuries. National Safety Month urges individuals and companies to take a pledge of safety. Join the NSC in its mission of stopping preventable injuries and deaths.

Throughout the month, the NSC highlights four different work-related safety topics to raise safety awareness. These topics include emergency preparedness, heat-related illness, slips, trips and falls, and hazard recognition. Each topic is accompanied by free resources that outline how injuries and deaths can be eliminated from work and home environments.

CSG's commitment to eliminating accidents is a daily and unwavering dedication, even in the challenging environments we sometimes face. In order to achieve this goal, we have developed a robust safety program. CSG's safety program is led by CSG's Director of Safety, Felipe Martinez. CSG's safety program fosters a culture of safety throughout the entire CSG organization.

CSG is taking a pledge of safety and joining the NSC throughout the month of June in recognition of safety. Each week CSG will follow along with the pressing safety topics highlighted by NSC on our website and social media pages. We will be sharing how we execute our safety mission throughout our operation. Additionally, we will provide safety tips on how individuals can create a safe and healthy culture for themselves and others.
